Faberge Egg

My family and I had a wonderful holiday. We spent the last five days with the hubby at the hotel. It was not home, but it was nice to be all together. We ended up eating at the Golden Corral for Thanksgiving. I think we all over ATE! Oh well! ;-) My husband had to work the next day "Black Friday". The kids and I decided to join the crowds at the stores. It was CrAzY! The kids thought it was a lot of fun to see all the people going wacky for sales.

I got a few cute things for myself and the kids. When my husband got off work we decided to hit the stores again. We bought my hubby a Faberge egg. He has been wanting one for years. He was so happy about this egg. He wouldn't let anyone touch it. hihihi He was so excited he wanted to buy me a puppy and/or something that would make me just as happy. But I was VERY HAPPY just to see the big smile on his face when he looked at his new egg.

Here is a little history on a Fabergé egg from Wikipedia.

A Fabergé egg is any one of the thousands of jeweled eggs made by the House of Fabergé from 1885 through 1917. The majority of these were miniature ones that were popular gifts at Eastertide. They would be worn on a neck chain either singly or in groups.
However, the most famous eggs produced by the House were the larger ones made for Alexander III and Nicholas II of Russia. Of the 50 made, 42 have survived. [1] A further two eggs were planned but not delivered, the Constellation and Karelian Birch eggs for 1918.
Seven large eggs were made for the Kelch family of Moscow.[2]
The eggs are made of precious metals or hard stones decorated with combinations of enamel and gem stones. The term "Fabergé egg" has become a synonym of luxury and the eggs are regarded as masterpieces of the jeweller's art. The Fabergé Imperial Easter Eggs are regarded as the last great series of commissions for objets d'art.

This is what the egg we bought looks like. It is B.E.A.UTIFUL!!

The next day, we took the kids to the Giant Bug exhibit. The kids really enjoyed themselves. Here are a few pictures.....

After the exhibit, we did a little grocery shopping. As we walked out of the store I was walking by my husband and then all of a sudden he is somehow way ahead of me and then this girl walks past me and ends up walking side by side with my husband. After a few minutes my husband realized it wasn't me walking beside him and looks back at me with a big grin on his face. The girl takes off ahead of him without saying a word. He starts to laugh. He then says, "I thought that girl was you. I was talking to her the whole time about this and that. I wondered why you would never answer me back." He even told the girl that he has to go pee! He was really embarrassed.
I thought it was HILARIOUS! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

It has been a crazy two weeks. My husband has been doing his training which has kept him busy and stressed! As for me, I am doing everything else that needs to be done to keep things going. I had to stop teaching at the gym for now because I need to be here and there for all the after school activities the kids have. I hope to get back to teaching in January.

I will be leaving today to be with my hubby for Thanksgiving break. The kids are happy about that! They prefer Dad over me! ;-) I am a little sad because my husband has to work on Thanksgiving and we won't be having a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at HOME! ;( So no cooking for me! I guess I should be happy about this?! hihi We are still trying to decide where we will go and eat. I hope something good will be open and not just fast food. Either way...I am THANKFUL that we will all be together even if we have to eat fast food.

Our oldest daughter recently had a dance competition. Her team won 1st place!

My husband and I are so proud of the kids. They all have been doing great this year. Our oldest has always done well and it's just amazing to see her grow into a young lady. She again made the honor roll this six weeks. Our youngest daughter also made the honor roll and our son was really close to making the honor roll.

They all have perfect attendance. Our oldest daughter will get to take her finals early and get out of school 1 week earlier than everyone else for Christmas break. ;-) We are really thankful that they have stayed healthy enough to attend school everyday and that they are working hard to do good in school.

I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING!

Congrats to my Honeybunches!

I am not sure if you remember that awhile back I posted that I had wanted to apply for a coaching position, but wasn't sure because my husband was also applying for a position at his job that would make it impossible for me to coach. I decided not to go for the coach position to see if my husband would get offered the position at his work.

Well...it happened yesterday!

My husband is a US Federal Agent and he applied to be in the K-9 Unit and he got it!! I am really excited for him. There is only one thing so far about this position that my husband and I are having a little sadness over. He has to leave for training for 6 weeks (we previously thought it was only going to be for 3weeks). Not that 3 weeks is any better, but A LOT BETTER than 6!

The good thing is that he is only going to be 2 hours away from home and I will get to see him on weekends that the kids and I drive up to see him (which I am sure will be EVERY weekend). This might sound cheesy to some of you, but my husband and I have not been apart since we have been together. We hate being apart! We both are very strong independent people, but we also like to depend on each other daily. I know that we are strong enough to go through the next six weeks without being there for each other every day, but we know we are going to be sad without one another. My husband made a plan that the kids and I could drive up to where he is every evening to be with him and then drive back very early each morning to go to school. I think we both know this is not possible(well I guess it is possible, but only if I want to die from exhaustion), but I think he just said it to make us feel better. hihi

Before my husband and I got married, we lived in different states and we had to travel 1/2 way to see each other every other weekend and/or he would fly to where I was or vice versa. When the weekend would be over we hated to leave one another...we would have this horrible stomach pain(like someone just punched you really hard in the gut), well my husband said that he felt that pain yesterday when he thought about leaving us for training. I told him I felt the same way. ;-( I know this may sound really cheesy to some of you knowing that my husband is really not going that far from us and also not going for a VERY long time, but like I said we do everything together. It's going to be weird the next 6 weeks without him here.

Anyway...enough of the cheesiness.

I am very ProUD, ExciTED, and HappY that my husband got this position and that he is getting the chance to move up in his career. Good Luck to my hubby and a Congratulations!

Have a Wonderful Day!

In need of MOTIVATION!

The first thing my husband asked me when he saw me wearing
this dress was, "Where did you get that dress?" (He thought I recently
purchased it). My response, "From our closet honey."

He reminded me that I haven't bought any clothes in a long while.
I think its time to go shopping. ;-) hihi

I bought this dress 6months ago at a thrift shop for $1.00.
Ain't I thrifty?

Let me explain my post title. ;-)

I recently find myself having no motivation to work-out.
I am still working at the gym.
BUT...
Even though I am still teaching an ab class, fat burn challenge &
salsa (every other week), these are the only work-outs I am getting.
My body is use to working out everyday even if
its something quick and easy, but I can't get myself MOTIVATED!
I was running 3 miles a day, I STOPPED! Double UGH!
I feel I am in a RUT!

Plus, I use to have great self-discipline.
OUT THE WINDOW IT WENT!
I see candy.
I eat it.
I see cake. I eat it.
My husband ask, "You want to order chinese?"
I say, "Yes!"
I use to keep a food journal.
Now, I don't remember half the things I eat during the day. hihihi
I get bored. I eat.

WHAT the HECK is GOING ON?
I blame my husband....hihihi...j/k.

It's time to get MOTIVATED! I am ready to get back on track.

BECAUSE...
all that candy, cake, chinese & junk food that
I am eating is going straight to my HIPS! hihihi

Have a wonderful DAY!

Happy Halloween & Happy Birthday Dominic!

Me as Cleopatra. ;-)

Our daughter Zayda(skeleton girl) w/her friend.

Our daughter Liz as Michael Jackson.

We had a very exciting Halloween.
We had a birthday party for our son. It was a BLAST!
I didn't get a picture of my son in his costume because
he didn't put it on during the whole party.
He was too busy playing with his friends. Oh well
He was a parasitic twin.

This post is for my son.
I took pictures of him today for his birthday.
I have posted them below. He is getting so big and handsome!

Anyway...Dominic is 10 yrs old today!
I can't believe how fast time flys by.
Dominic is growing up so fast.
Our little boy will someday be a man
and right by his side we will forever stand.
We will pick up the pieces when he falls,
and we will hold his hand and help him stand tall.
And when the day comes when he is on his own,
I hope he never feels that he is alone.
No matter how near or far apart
we will always be in his heart.
No matter what he may go through,
We will ALWAYS LOVE YOU! -Amy Campbell

Happy Birthday Dominic!

Pumpkin Festival

Our trip to the pumpkin patch.

We did so much stuff there. I couldn't put up all the pictures...there were too many! We did go-carts, mazes, hayride, pumpkin toss, slides, more mazes, and more games.

(click on to enlarge)

This maze was so awesome!! It was shaped like a bee and a flower. We didn't go through the whole thing because it was too BIG and our feet were tired.

Next stop....PUMPKIN PATCH!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

I know this has been a post full of pictures, BUT...
I love Halloween and all the beautiful colors.
I couldn't resist sharing all the wonderful and fun
pictures we captured. ;-)
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

I have been so busy lately. The days have been passing by so fast.
I can't believe we only have one more week left in October.

I have been planning for the Halloween party this Saturday.
I CAN'T WAIT!
I am going to be Cleopatra!
I have been having so much fun getting things together for the party.
Scary decorations. Pumpkins. Photo shoot. Games. Caramel apples.
Ghost. Hanging skeletons. Food. Roasting marshmallows.
Bobbing for apples. Spider webs. Bloody hand prints.
Balloons. Cookies. Cake. Clammy eyeballs. Musical chairs.
The kids dressed up in their frightful costumes.
Our friends gathered together to make sure the kids have a blast.
What could be more fun than that?

Trick-or-Treat!

My Husband's Special Day!

Today is a Special Day!
It's my husband's birthday.
It's time to CELEBRATE this day
with a delicious ice cream cake
and a SWEET kiss from me to him.

I love you because you make me happy.
I love you because you make me feel safe and secure.
I love your sweet smile.
I love the way you say my name.
I love the look in your eyes when you tell me you love me.
And how you laugh at me when I do something silly.
I love being able to wake up with you by my side...It makes my day better.
I love the way you wrap your arms around me and hold me tight.
And I love the way I feel when your lips barely touch mine for a kiss.
I love your laugh.
I love hearing your voice.

BUT the main reason I love you is because....

You are YOU!

Happy Birthday My LOVE!
