My family and I had a wonderful holiday. We spent the last five days with the hubby at the hotel. It was not home, but it was nice to be all together. We ended up eating at the Golden Corral for Thanksgiving. I think we all over ATE! Oh well! ;-) My husband had to work the next day "Black Friday". The kids and I decided to join the crowds at the stores. It was CrAzY! The kids thought it was a lot of fun to see all the people going wacky for sales. However, the most famous eggs produced by the House were the larger ones made for Alexander III and Nicholas II of Russia. Of the 50 made, 42 have survived. [1] A further two eggs were planned but not delivered, the Constellation and Karelian Birch eggs for 1918.
Seven large eggs were made for the Kelch family of Moscow.[2]
The eggs are made of precious metals or hard stones decorated with combinations of enamel and gem stones. The term "Fabergé egg" has become a synonym of luxury and the eggs are regarded as masterpieces of the jeweller's art. The Fabergé Imperial Easter Eggs are regarded as the last great series of commissions for objets d'art.
This is what the egg we bought looks like. It is B.E.A.UTIFUL!!
The next day, we took the kids to the Giant Bug exhibit. The kids really enjoyed themselves. Here are a few pictures.....

After the exhibit, we did a little grocery shopping. As we walked out of the store I was walking by my husband and then all of a sudden he is somehow way ahead of me and then this girl walks past me and ends up walking side by side with my husband. After a few minutes my husband realized it wasn't me walking beside him and looks back at me with a big grin on his face. The girl takes off ahead of him without saying a word. He starts to laugh. He then says, "I thought that girl was you. I was talking to her the whole time about this and that. I wondered why you would never answer me back." He even told the girl that he has to go pee! He was really embarrassed.
I thought it was HILARIOUS! :)

My husband and I are so proud of the kids. They all have been doing great this year. Our oldest has always done well and it's just amazing to see her grow into a young lady. She again made the honor roll this six weeks. Our youngest daughter also made the honor roll and our son was really close to making the honor roll.
